Job responsibilities

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Production Director will be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of all manufacturing processes across two distinct plants, the Site of Radda in Chianti and the Production Dept in Strada in Chianti.

This role ensures the achievement of quantity, quality, timing, and efficiency targets, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and agile transformation. The incumbent will guarantee optimal organization of human and material resources within both plants, fostering a corporate culture centered on safety, health, innovation, and agility. Member of Azienda Steering Committee.

Internal and External Relationships:

  • Reports to: LG Industrial Director
  • Key Collaborations: Development, Supply Chain, Quality, Industrialization departments, and external suppliers.
Profile

YOUR IMPACT

  • Strategic and Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the entire manufacturing process in both plants, with the objective of meeting and exceeding expected volumes and efficiency targets.
  • Production Planning, Scheduling and Optimization: Ensure adherence to daily and weekly production plans in both sites, overseeing and optimizing production scheduling activities, collaborating closely with the planning department to optimize workflows and mitigate deviations.
  • Operational Excellence: Actively supervise and lead production transformation projects aimed at increasing agility and responsiveness;
    champion and drive continuous improvement initiatives across both plants, leveraging Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize processes, eliminate waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure full compliance with the highest quality standards for finished products, implementing and overseeing robust and proactive quality control processes.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate detailed progress reports on efficiency and other relevant KPIs for both plants, presenting analyses and recommendations to Industrial Director and his peers.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations and policies, promoting safe behaviors and a secure working environment.
  • Team Management and Development: Lead, motivate, and support a team of:
    • 2 Production Managers directly managed
    • 9 Production Supervisors and 3 Industrialization Technician
    • 1 HRBP, 1 Financial Controlling and 1 Planning Manager in Radda Plant
    • Approximately 400 artisans

Fostering professional development, versatility, and skill growth. Oversee recruitment, training, and workforce planning processes.

  • Support and collaborate with the Operational Excellence Manager and his team.
Additional information

KEYS FOR SUCCESS

  • Education: University degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or related disciplines. A Master's degree in Production Management or Operations will be considered a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in production management roles, including at least 3-5 years with multi‑plant responsibilities or in complex, large‑scale environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Profound knowledge of industrial production processes and proven experience in implementing and managing Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Demonstrated success in leading continuous improvement programs and production transformation projects aimed at fostering agility.
  • Technical skills in Quality and Safety are preferred. Additionally, a basic understanding of financial capabilities is expected, given the potential need to review Plant Profit & Loss statements.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent communication skills and proven ability to interact with and influence at all levels of the organization. Strong aptitude for coaching, motivating, and building high‑performing teams.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven complex project management capabilities, with the ability to define priorities and achieve objectives in dynamic environments.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic decision‑making skills under pressure.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Language: Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken). Proficiency in French will be considered a significant advantage.

For new joiners in this role in Italia, the initial annual gross salary is EUR €120.000,00.

This salary has been determined on the basis of objective and gender‑neutral criteria and corresponds to the compensation normally granted for this Posizione at the time of publication of this job posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as your unique combination of experience and skills, seniority, and current organizational needs.

This role also provides for participation in a bonus scheme, at Celine’s discretion, based on factors such as individual and/or Azienda performance.

In addition to the benefits provided by law, further benefits may be granted in accordance with current Azienda policies.

The employment relationship will be governed by the provisions of the applicable national collective bargaining agreement (CCNL Dirigenti Industria), as applied by Celine in Italia.
