Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Small Molecule, Little Island Cork is recruiting for a Learning & Development Team Leader, located in Little Island, Cork.
This role plays a key role in crafting and implementing the L&D strategy for the site. This is an exciting opportunity to continually refresh our L&D approach with up-to-date best practices and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:Strategy
- Takes a leading role in the implementation of the site L&D strategy ensuring delivery and content is aligned with the business strategy.
- Builds organizational capabilities and competencies in collaboration with all functions on site, which will in turn allow the our employees to deliver superior business results and sustainable competitive advantage.
- Aligns training activities with business needs through identifying updated methods of enhancing training effectiveness.
- Sets training priorities that are clearly aligned to the company strategy and integrated throughout the team and consistent with applicable laws and regulations and J&J policies.
- Acts as a facilitator to prepare, coordinate and deliver training programs.
- Leverages emerging technology to increase efficiency of training and maximize developmental resources.
- Assists functional managers in identifying relevant training and development needs and identify approaches to address those needs.
- Develops and organizes specific training and development programs in various functions, i.e., Mentoring Program, Train the Trainer program.
- Trains and coaches new and existing representatives in areas of product knowledge and new training technologies and techniques.
- Drafts a regular development calendar of programs which can be used by the organization.
- Creates and maintains electronic or web-based training portals of training, assessment and learning reinforcement tools.
- Pre-empt future needs and understand development trends through benchmarking industry competitors, membership of professional bodies, attending industry events, and networking with development consultants etc.
- Lead and assist audit programs across the site.
Education:
- Third level degree or qualification in science, technology, or engineering
Required:
- At least 5 years of experience in operations environment
- Proven track record of success as demonstrated through annual performance ratings in the last 2 performance cycle. For those whose tenure is less than 24 months the last performance rating will be considered.
- Strong presentation, administrative, analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to engage teams and work collaboratively.
- Serve as a role model for making Creo-based decisions, helping others understand the value of Credo-based decisions
- Previous experience in Learning and Development
- Experience in using digital and technology solutions preferred.
- Proficient in English.
